Rivera, Druetta & Trossero (“RD&T”) provides legal services since May, 2006, when the firm was formed by attorneys who, until then, occupied key positions (partners or senior associates) in traditional law-firms acting in the City of Buenos Aires, from where they spun off their practice together with their respective teams. Being a young firm, RD&T’s experience is, therefore, that of its members who, through years of intense practice, have accumulated knowledge and skill for the supply, at levels of excellence, of all type of legal services to corporate and private clients.
RD&T’s success is due to the combination of different factors: a large experience dealing with international and local clients; the participation in a large variety of Court and out-of-Court matters, including a large diversity of business transactions, and the interaction of public and private law specializations, in a legal and political context that, since a few years back, is characterized by an increasing participation of the Government in the economic activity. A measured and dynamic structure allows RD&T to provide services at the highest professional level of excellence, in a personalized manner, with immediate response to the requirements and needs of the clients, and at a highly competitive cost, without the limitations imposed by larger structures. In addition, where larger or different resources are required for the handling of particular or specific matters of RD&T’s clients, strategic alliances have been put in place with specialized firms with which RD&T acts in a coordinated manner ensuring clients the best integrated advice within reasonable time.
In the private sector, the core activity of RD&T is focused on business law, providing advice to local and foreign companies on the day-to-day corporate and business matters, and on particular transactions and other dealings as well. RD&T has participated and currently advises on corporate matters of different nature, including capital restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, placement of minority shareholdings through public offers and a large variety of investments/divestitures in different types of business entities and ventures. In the corporate field, RD&T provides advice and services on the formation and functioning of local and foreign companies, and the compliance of the reporting and filing obligations imposed by local regulations. RD&T is largely involved in Court activity, representing the interests of corporate and individual clients in civil and commercial legal actions involving highly complex matters.
In the field of public law, RD&T provides advise to Government and public bodies (whether governmental or not)’s contractors and suppliers, to interested offerors in competitive biddings and requests for quotations, whether public or short-listed, and represents clients in all types of claims and legal actions by or against the Public Administration (whether national, provincial or municipal).
RD&T’s clients engage in many different business activities: manufacturing and distribution of auto parts, marketing of air conditioning units and building automation systems, car manufacturing, printing, shipping and navigation, oil and gas, Governmental concessions and public works, marketing of medical equipment, farming and farm-products marketing, insurance and reinsurance, port terminal operations, dredging, etc.
